Im looking at getting a remap on my ecu which is a simtec70, are they gains any good? best way to go about it? send it off or take it in?
Any info would appreciated.

best to get it done when you've done some supporting mods.. Manifold, inlet etc

True but its a waste remaping a standard engine.

Good point. Get a 4-1 and performance exhaust system with say a good inlet manifold and it'll be well worth it then

Does your local mapper do simtecs? It might be cheaper in the long run getting a different ecu that your local mapper can map if your going to do a mod then map....do a mod then map etc.

The Simtec70 can be flashed.. ITs a doddle if you know the format of the rom.. Sadly I dont, if I did I would have done mine I've got all the gear to read and write the maps just cant edit them
