Few good replies i feel.
If it passed an MOT then you should be fine.
It's your step Dad's house so what he says has to go.
Get your step Dad to prove it is illegal and if so you change the set up.
I had a simlar problem when i was back at home whereby i couldn't come and go as i wished. I couldn't even go for a drink as the parents did not approve..
I moved out which is one of the best things i ever did! I couldn't live back at home again under my parents rules.

Faz- i was in boston friday night at your work LOl, shame you werent about
update - i went to various MOT stations tehy all said the criteria for a low car is :
has to be able to get on the ramps
has to be able to get into the rollers
springs shouldnt be loose when jacked up
all suspension parts fitted properly
so i raised the car to the point where the front springs are now seated solid all the time,e ven when jacked up and step dad is still demanding i raise the car. i know this seems a lot of fuss over jsut lowering a car but the car looked mint last year and was even in fast car a few times. Cant see that happening anytime soon with how teh car is and how im being told to have it. thanks for everyones input
