Lovely bike
Days like today i regret selling the my bike (ZX6), but have decided that i will get another beginning of next year, looking at a Triumph Daytona 675 this time, prefer riding the slimmer/smaller bikes.

I worked for aprilia for 4 years, italian bikes are good looking, jap stuff is normally ugly... best looking cbr was the 03 shape 600rr. new ones ARE ugly!
AS for running it in, thats for ausin allegros circa 1962! Honda state not to hit the redline for the first 900 miles... so basically give it shit everywhere if you want the rings to seal properly, otherwise it wont create as much pwer as it could!

the most crucial part of bedding in the rings is the first 20 miles, if you didnt load them up properly in the first 20 miles then the advantage you could have gained would be lost now anyway.
deffo get rid of the pegs and cowl, go for a tail tidy too!

so you recon the first 20 miles i should drive it quite hard? maybe a dual carrage way run?

Well the best place to run an engine in is on the track, as it gives you the best combination of brisk acceleration and engine braking.
Being at constant throttle is detrimental to running an engine in and should be avoided. Our advice for running in brand new bikes was to find a twisty bit of road, unload the bike there then ride it pretty hard up and down the gears without holding constant throttle
This website explains it better:

I did this to0 when i had a my crosser.
Didnt smash it on the limiter, but for example,
...Say your bike pushes 14,000 revs, take it up to 10 quiet often, with full throttle acceleration to put it under load. Dont Sit and constent speed either, do alot of town driving with giving it some through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
I dropped the oil after 25 miles, and it was full of iron fillings, but this is a good thing as the rings have sealed nicley in relation the bores
Only did another 20 miles on it and got shot of the piece of shit anyways

Just one of them cheap chinesse 125 things. It was fun for about the first 7 mins riding around the housing estate. You get on the open road, and you reliase how slow they are! in 40 miles, it snapped a speedo cable, i think one of the brake cables was sheering and the gear linkage was shot
I used it for 2 days, parked it up and left it for about 6 months, and then sold it one day to some chav! was on a 57 plate
Got an old Yam FZR 400 now
