My c20xe (astra gte) cut off yesterday when I started it from cold. Started up fine afterwards, but if i try to drive it when its cold it will cut out unless I give it alot of revs - which i dont by the way, just let it warm up.

Any ideas folks?

i would go with the CTS sensor then, its the blue one that sits under the thermostat to the left of the exhaust manifold, it will have 2 wires goin to it, to test it you will need to get a multimetre and read the resistance but for the sake 7 quid from your local car spares i would just swap it as it sound like all the correct symptoms of a dodgy CTS sensor

Will it just look like an open circuit if it's knackered?

no the resistance on the multimeter wont read correct, im not to sure what theresistance is meant to be, ul have to look up auto data or summat of that nature to find out, but for that sake of 7 quid i would just by one if you have doubts that urs is goosed
