how do you stop the tappets sounding so loud on the c16xe engine? also are they dear to replace and isit a common fault?

i no its obvious and you have probs already checked, butchave you got oil and and the right oil?

Yeah oil makes them run quieter

Mine really benefitted from high miler oil. Really quietened it down. My engine has other issues than that though so it's getting rebuilt but I would try that first.

well only now i noticed when i got back from work so gonna try that now when it cools down. it only had a rebuild a 987 km ago lol so im totally confused lol
