Just seen this at B&Q, had an 07 number plate.

Are these been made in kits or something?

Would have got a numberplate shot but couldn't tell if there was anyone in the back

you can get new ones that are made in this country but as said there around £20k and there only a bay window.

Mk1 golfs are now mk1 city`s and can only get them in 5 doors now and there made in South Africa.

My dream is to one day own a 21 window splitty but looking at around £22k ish for a decent one.

To be fair i'd much rather a really smart and clean split screen for 20k, do they even modernise the suspension/brakes etc on the new ones?

I'd want to deck it out with everything electronic, make it into a right comfy camper but with a nice economical TDi or 1.6ish petrol engine to go touring round the country.

I've seen a couple with Peugeot diesels, and Jamie Olivers got one with a Porsche engine. We've not long finished ours, they do take some time like

There was a guy on Scoobynet that was fitting an STi engine to one, don't know if he ever finished it though.

Porsche conversions are the most popular.
