Not really

A redtop can do what? 145-150 in 5th a let with f28 ain gonna do 100mph more in 6th its only gonna be an extra 10-20mph in the final gear.

I know what your saying but it dont work like that

dont forget, load's of other variable's that would effect the top speed..

eg

vx220 and a cavalier - both same engine, wheels, box's etc the vx will have a higher top speed, more areodynanic c etc etc

not strictly, if you have a high powered engine with a really short top gear it will just sit on the limiter turning the wheels as fast as the box will let them

think of as you vs an olympic gold medalist on a push bike, he only has first gear but you only have 10th gear you will be able to go fastest no matter how powerful he is

Nic, have you ever done 191mph in your Corsa? Or is that what it tops out at on the dyno?

Second gear ratio - 2.140:1
Third gear ratio - 1.410:1
Fourth gear ratio - 1.120:1
Fifth gear ratio - 0.890:1
Reverse gear ratio - 3.310:1
Final Drive - 3.94:1

me gti before drive shaft went :
1st -40
2nd - 70
3rd - 100
4th - 120
and i could get any were near 145 loses all power in 4th dont care really french shite never liked them .
corsa with f15 box does 133mph on limiter in 5th did that in 1.4 16v and in 1.6 same gear box what other will fit.

Mate, that must be scary as fuck. But

I remember being on the limiter in 5th in my XE GSi, an indicated 142mph and i was bricking it.
