Looking to buy 4 new tyres, I've tried a few places but they all seem to be around the £200 mark which is a tad too high. Anyone got any good places I can get tyres from for quite cheap...?

Cheers.

Back street tyre places are your best bet if on a budget. £200 seems reasonable for decent rubber.

I currently pay £60 a corner at Costco for Michelin Energy which last around 25k.

EFA.

I got a couple to just make sure that I wasn't driving around illegally. 2 weeks later, after they nearly killed me more than twice, they're bald as a coot. And that's driving semi-sensibly.

Did you not check them to see what state they were in before you fitted them? Tyres don't just suddenly go bald over a 2 week period. Part worns are just normal tyres, they don't have a quicker wear rate or anything.

Your own daft fault.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear - I got two budget part worns and even when they had tread they were shite. After about 2 weeks of normal driving they've gone bald quicker than any other tyres I've had.

Less of the daft comments.

Less of the daft questions then.

This question comes up nearly every day ffs.

Have a look back a few pages and read the last answers.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
