Any type of double sided bonding tape.

whoever has took them off before and put them back on has used cream coloured silicone and its noticeable

best thing to do is buy some new ones as they come with the double sided on them, if you want to reuse then numberplate tape is best (strong foam backed double sided tape) available from most motorfactors, about £35 a roll though
