If I take my car in for an MOT and it fails, will it still have the previous MOT (until the 29th) or will it then be unfit for the road?

i have always carried on driving mine after a fail if you have the old mot with the date it runs out i dont see how you can get in trouble tbh the police dont know it failed

an mot fail does not void your old mot ticket

My car failed its MOT last week and the bloke who tested said its not got an MOT now even though it doesn't run out till the end of the month.

Wrong.


x2 mot runs out on date, you can retake mot up to a month beofre the dats and still drive it

x2 mot runs out on date, you can retake mot up to a month beofre the dats and still drive it

So I can still drive my car? he said a couple of times that it wasn't MOTd now he had failed it.

i worked in garage for years and hes talking out his arse you can use your car till the old mot runs out
