See Fad point of view tbh, if i was to have two cars my road car would have to be more sensible to reduce the costs and give me more cash to spend on the toy

I understand the reason for wanting a dedicatd track car. I'm quite nervous about taking my VXR on track incase I stack it or some other Knob takes me out. Whereas a £1k track car...who cares if you pile it.

ive got a mk1 mr2 track car and its top notch fun.
infact between me and my old man we currently own 5 of the things!
your best to buy a cheap one that not to rusty and overhaul the suspension and brakes though as they are very neglected and worn after 20years+
but you could easy get new shocks, springs, overhaul and uprate the brakes and do a few other bits and bobs, buy the car and still have change from £1000!
plus they wont break down on you on track which is the most anoying thing in the world and costly so really do make a great buy.

I think the sorted 106 gti will be as quick if not quicker than the clio anyway, so job done...

at least james will have the right number of valves this time on a 106.

the 106 xsi will be quick, plus standalone so future mods of Tbs etc would be easier...
