Worth it? Or not... Some theiving pikey has put my window through while the car was on our drive.

I'm busy kicking myself about not having an alarm fitted sooner, and I'm getting one now, but was thinking about the film as well, to stop the glass shattering in the first place.

Anyone had any experiences with it? Is it just transparent tint film or is it actually stronger? And can anyone recommend a company that serves the dartford area?

Yeah I did, and it does, but a lot of the videos are company's promoting their wares so I would expect them to.

Just wondering if anyone had any 1st hand experience of it.

I would say the glass is better as if you have an alarm the windows can still break and if you catch them doing it you can't hold them until the cops come because you will get done for assault and kidnapping.

yup I was watching a program a few days ago about "citizens arrests" it seems it is much much harder to do it these days without getting sued for damages or arrested

If they cant smash your window they will just run a key down it or something instead tbh.

Get yourself a car cover or something to stop the opportunist, or the pissed up drunk doing something stupid.

The film is pretty impressive though, throwing a brick at it results in it bouncing back!

I learned about citizens arrest in SIA and i got 3 chapters on how and when you can actually do it. I still won't though as if you make the smallest of mistakes you can get sued BIG time!

But i'd say get both done as it'll be harder to smash the glass and take a few more attempts, and as their attempting to break it the alarm will likely trigger anyway.

When it becomes more common - i think legislation will come out banning it for this reasons.

Its like one of the main reasons blacked out windows at the front are illegal. Yes it imparies vision, but also the police like to see whos driving as alot of known banned drivers where just blacking them out and going around as per the norm

That took a proper beating, shame he couldnt get through under the bridge because he would have been long gone by the time the biker got back on and the cops got back in their cars. How did they actually get him out tho? lol
