My friend got his vRS remapped (again) today, so we decided to record a 0-60. He's not great at shifting but the launch seemed to be alright!

I thought some of you may be slightly interested.

is it the PD130 engine?

my mate just had his ibiza pd 130 remapped to 180bhp and 315 ftlb of torque, it's and absolute weapon!

IIRC all the Furby Vrs's are the PD130 engine.

I bet the 1 in the video is a weapon when its on the move.

Are these maps on standard clutch and turbo?

Remapped fabias aren't slow, a 190bhp one would be on par with a 172.

They go really well with just a 170bhp remap even.

My old one wasn't far off a 172 although was slower from a standing start.

Need an uprated clutch over about 280lb/ft though.

Excellent wee cars, only car I miss.

Mine was 186 and 290.

It was good fun, but In contrast to the above, didn't really get properly into it in the couple of years I had it.

Also ate a clutch and a turbo. (more than likely due to remap)

190bhp is about max for the standard turbo. If hes running the standard intercooler (SMIC) expect to see big drop off's in performance in hotter waether!

Yeah, a bit nippier... It was 180bhp and now it's 190bhp, but it's smoother with more torque. He's just fitted a PD160 air intake with a panel filter and about to fit a Milltek de-cat and back box. He's done a few other performance mods but the tuner reckons he can get it to 200bhp once the exhaust is on.

Standard turbo and standard clutch.

he may get 200bhp but his turbo will last 2 mins. I know someone who did the same thing, went through 2 or 3 turbos! but is now hybrid, looking at water/meth injection and nearer 260bhp

Well he's been mapped at 180bhp for like 2 months with no problems, and done nearly 10,000 miles. He's been at 190bhp for a day or two and done 400 miles with no problem so far. Apparently 200bhp will just need the exhaust.

Oh and he's talking about FMIC, Injectors and a Hybrid. Revo said he'll see 250bhp but he needs £2,200.
