How much are they going for?

I would love an early 90s SL.

Nice cars but you will have to check it thoroughly for rust as these just rot for fun.

Proper drug-dealers car silly money for their age though and its a very dated car.. I've seen quite a few with some pretty bad rot.

500SEC FTW!

Amazing cars. With the exception of the G-Wagen, no Mercedes has been built like these since.

Comfortable, reliable, quiet, fast and an absolute pleasure to drive. And really REALLY built like a brick shithouse.

I have a W124 saloon and I destroyed a Mondeo estate with it. The some total of my damage was minor deformation to some of the grille slats, a small crack to the number plate and some of his white paint on my bumper etc.

They really are like little lorries.

There's a rather minted looking grey 300 CE at a little car dealer near me for three grand. It's on an 'M' plate and is a tad darker than the one you've posted Scotty and with the dark cream leather.

It's bloody lovely and i'd have it if I had three grand to piss away, plus another parking space.

Oh and I forgot to mention. They don't rust.

Mine is an '89 and has no rust anywhere.

The 325 will be like a crisp packet compared to the W124.

124s are more composed and have a better more supportive seat in my experience than the SECs. They tend to be a bit boatish and you sort of slide off the seat into the footwell under braking.

The standard seats are quite terrible i'm afraid. Very mattress like. Unpleasantly bouncey too.

The SEC to have would be the 560 AMG with sports seats.

My dad had a 420 SEC back in the days.

Please be aware of the fuel consumption on these cars

It is... FUCKING shocking.

Worth it though if you can afford it. Nowhere near as juicy as my MG as it happens though.
