Isn't it local car dealers taking your old car & getting 1k to scrap it providing you buy a new car from a dealer? I think it said that in this months TV.

Think there is a rule that your name has to be on the v5 for a minimum of 1 year to count or something

Not at all a bad idea, if it comes through i'll be telling my sis to put her clio in against another car.

Theres a thing will it be against brand new cars only, or used aswell?? Seeing as the scheme is being introduced to revive new car sales!>

Briefly heard something on the radio about this the other day, the dj was saying if it's gonna be how it seemed to him you could buy a car cheap now, leave it on the drive then by the time this comes in your name will have been on the log book long enough and you can go and get a new car pretty much straight away. All well and good if you intend on getting a new car around the time that it comes in
