up Rivington

Car feels awesome on these roads, just using 2nd and 3rd up to about 4k rpm is plenty quick enough to be fun without going completly balls out and scaring the shit out of yourself! Through the faster sweeping corners its perfect, planted and grippy but it wont bite without warning and throw you into a hedge.

Round the really tight stuff though the little 175s up front are struggling, plus they are pretty much fucked now so im going to change the wheels, but i really dont know what to go for. I dont think i want 1.2s again or really anything motorsporty, but there not a massive choice out there, especially for reasonable money....

Had a little go at a HDR as well, made this from 7 exposures. Need more practice though as the car looks really dull and not the true colour.

i know it seems pointless but its just an easy way for thieves to gain info without having to do the groundwork

realistically from here they could find out your place of work(uni?), your home, the garage that works on the car etc

giving them more options to steal it

maybe im just paranoid

It's not unheard of for people to nick plates and then go speeding everywhere etc, even if the car is a different make, model and/or colour.

People see number plates on forums like this and make up dodgy plates and do bilkins and "ring" cars etc.

Next thing you know you have the old bill knocking on your door at 6 in the morning asking you questions about where you were at 8.37 last night and probing about you stealing fuel without paying.

Not my cup of tea at all!

You could take a walk/drive down the street and get number plates.

makes it slightly easier for people to just go onto a vauxhall/ford/audi forum depending on what car they need em for

Also, if you have mods on it which are obvious, insurance companies look on forums frequently to make sure people are declaring them.

Happened to a mate of mine who drives a heavily modified evo a while back.

Sure it would be alot easied to just search on autotrader for a specific car, instead of looking on a forum

im loving the colour..looks so different to the standard black/silver/red!

HDR you dont need 7 exposures....use a RAW file and do it artificially or use the exposure bias of +2, 0, -2

To do a proper HDRi as per my assignment i have to use minimum of 7 exposures from 7 different RAW files

Anyway, wheels. Cheapo option is keep the wheels i have but replace the 175s with 195/45s. However im not a huge fan of the standard wheels, im even less of a fan of cleaning them! I dont mind these but im not sure i like them enough for what they cost-

Hosted on Fotki

there is these as well, pro race 3. I could probably get them for reasonable money but i need a decent pic of them so i can photoshop them onto my car to see what they are like first.

Dont really want pro race 1.2s again, pro race 2s look crap on it. Thoughts? Help

them first ones look like the magnesium speedlines, which are ££££'s i think rob (winstar) sold them for just over 1k, but if your thinking about the cheaper (well sorta cheaper) then i think they look ok, but probably would prefer the pro race 3's
