Evening all.

As im very bored atm i had an idea.

When this recession gives in abit and someone finally gives me a paid job i wanted to finish the bodywork.

Bumper, change bonnet (Long story) and arse end being boot popper, fully smooth boot, relocate num plate blah blah blah

BUT

I thought about modifying the front end to accept Vauxhall Calibra head lights?

Yes or no? Or other lol

Score!

I found a calibra at 1 of a few local scrappies but wanted £25 each side so £50 for both!!

Might be just me but for a what, 18 odd year car, £50 for headlights is alot

That does sound like a brilliant idea!! Would certainly be a new idea!
But sounds like it would be quite an expensive, technical job!

Havent got a clue what would be involved really though!
But its deffo worth looking in to I rekon!

Dont forget updates though!!

Well it'll be a while till i get round to it but want to re-spray my new(ish) bumper, change bonnet and do this the sametime so hopefully doing it all at once will keep costs down.

I know a place near me that'll deffinatly do it: http://www.oldschoolengineering.co.uk/rally.htm

At the moment, they've built themselves a 2.0 honda engined ford transit connect!

And they've put a jaguar front end on an Audi! or a similar thing on that variation.

Though £50 for calibra headlights is WOW! lol
