Mileage shouldnt be an issue if it has full VWSH.
Just make sure all is ok on the day u go to see it and it should be fine.

The milage thing and VW rep - i wouldnt take anynote of the undestructable comments.

Lad i know had a 100k one. It had in the space of a few months

Water pump, gear linkage, a lot of electrical problems, boost pipes blowing off . Member on here i think

All sorts of things. His was the 150 bhp. Flapping lovley and torquay to drive though. Had a quick go around some back lanes and dual carridge ways and loved it.

Must have not been looked after that well, water pump is usually done with cambelt, so should only be 30-40k old, getting towards a new one anyway

my passat 1.8 T is on 154000 miles.. all good

only problems at that sort of mileage are leaks and, my turbo actualtor being weak, and my recirc valve being knackered..

the water pumps are only advised by most vw dealers to be renewed with the cambelt, most people ignore the warning to be honest.
