Well a mate of mine had a focus that was ready to pop so sold it and bought a corsa that had a calibra 2.0 fitted in the bay that just needs to be connected up. all the bits to finish to job were included in the sale and it was his plan to get straght to it and finish the job. Well in the meantime he gathered loads of bits for it including some springs from me for 60 quid, some leather seats, tigra wheels, gsi spoiler smooth tailgate and loads of other btis and just kept them in his shed ready to put on when he could be arsed.
He must have got sick of walking everywhere because i spoke to him the other day and he has brought a 1.6 51 plate astra and has totally given up on the project. I then joking said how much for the engine ill put it in mine he said 200 which i thought was cheap, then he text me saying you can have everythink for 400! i went round and looked at the car and its totally mint and standard apart from bigger brakes and the 2.0 under the bonnet.Boot is full of parts needed to finish the job. He just wants rid and i want to snap his fuckin hand off but really have nowhere at all to keep it as there are 5 cars on my drive as it is!
Too much of a bargain to miss up on tho and such an easy at your own pace project to finish. Even told my old man who i thought would be dead set against the idea and hes really keen. seems too good to miss. Is it expensive to maybe hire a little garage? Any ideas?
Ramble over.
