Isn't it all down to personal preference though? If he likes the 5 door then go for it.
Some would say we're fighting a battle modding a Corsa in the first place.

Keep the 5 door. Source CORSA leather seats outta a CDX that had HEATED leather. Straight swop into your car....sorted. No faffing about with calli seats etc etc

Some people stick fly catcher front bumpers on, its fair to say they are retarded. Same for the 0.1% who think a 5 door corsa can be made to look better than a 3 door and think because something is less common it can make up for the fact it looks wrong from the get go.

two of my mates have got quicksilvers and two with saxos that have had gearbox problems, only one is driven moderately hard and that is on its third box, all pretty major including casings being smashed.

Then they got bad ones. Much like my mates, and myself who've had problems with Corsa's got bad ones. I love how folk think that Corsa's are better cars That may be opinion, but fact is, they are not.

my vtr is on the original gearbox, on 86k and still going strong, a mates vtr on 90k and again on original box. neither of us have had any problems except his driveshaft started squeaking and nowmine has, but theyre both lowered 60mm.
my corsa b was never out of the garage! always a sensor or valve or something going wrong

First things first m8 ill be the first person to admit a modded 5 dr wont look as good a 3dr, but if i wanted a 3dr one id just go and buy one whats already done up.

The point of doing a 5dr up is because i dont want people saying my car looks like so and so's i want it to be mine. Whats wrong with that?
