i know you can claim damages for potholes but what about this#

In Newmarket they are revamping a roundabout and making a complete pigs ear of it, i drove round it earlier and felt the car drop on the drivers side front.
theres a fucking nail in my tyre!
can i claim the bill off the council because theyre lazy twats who leave shrapnel everywhere?

You would need to prove that the council have shown negligence in the repairs of the road & thus they are responsible for said nail...............which is going to be pretty much impossible tbh!!
