well after 2months of finding and reading ive got my gsi turbo what you think








car as 49k on clock standard apart from cdplayer needs 2 new tyres so ive got £1500 left over what would spend the money on ?

Love these, i want my old one back now lol. VXR turbo and a sports cat, massive improvement in the car with them fitted imo.

VXR turbo fit it yourself you'll do it for £500

Cat back exhaust, precat pipe and coilovers, and your onto a winner

And remove that horrid Turbo badge,

ive just bought one of these. its also 53 reg and has only done 37,000 .
are there any potential problems i should be aware of? ive never owned a turbo before

Air flow meters
Turbo wear
Manifolds cracking
Boost Control solenoids
And anti-roll bar links

Thats some of the problems you may come across whilst owning your astra,

Just do your best to maintain it, i.e. servicing, timing belt, also do the waterpump and tensioner at the same time.

mine had cambelt timing belt water pump and tensioners done 46k turbo badge will be going in the bin

Needs a decent back box, instead of that peashooter, remove turbo badge, then what shEp said.
