Yeah private sale, think it was from a guy in Spondon, some 30-odd year old prick still living with his nan.
Was gutting loosing all that at 19. Id saved so hard to get that car aswell.
The guy i bought it off took it in PX for his scooby, suspected something wasnt quite right with it as the gear linkage was bodged, so he got it fixed and sold it to me, so as far as the police were concerned he was not a suspect and they couldnt/ couldnt be arsed to trace the owners further back.

Yeah was a proper job, had V5 in his name with drivers licence as ID (well turned out was an identity theft aswell!), stamped up service book, manual etc. Even the virtually impossible to remove stickers under the bonnet were changed and millage set to exaclty the same as the car they cloned. Even Audi couldnt really see if until the computer brought up a different chasis number. It was only by chance i booked it in for a service and Audi told me it was serviced last week in Kent; rang the dealership to check and send the book for stamping etc when the alarm bells rang!!
