and ask anyone, bmw are solid, i own a 318, it jus clocked over 150k on the clock and all it needs is a starter motor, but its mint

i have 2 friends with rover 620 turbos, both on 140k+ without any HGF failure or problems, so they will last as long as any other car thats treated well.

Plenty of decent suggestions, cheers all. I can't pick one car I like more than any other really, don't think I'd ever be happy with any car I have lol
Upsides and downsides to all I guess.
I think I'll pass on the Focus Planty lol

Spent hours looking for stuff on my shortlist which is "worth the money" up to a max of 3k and after all that time and a fair few different types of car, so far theres feck all! If theres a gem of a deal it's about 250 miles away which to me is a long way to go on a gamble.
Best one I saw was an MG ZR 160, 04 plate, it'd done 82k but one owner, FSH, black, immaculate, HPI clear etc - for £1990.
Called up, had sold... best deal I've seen all week. I won't pay over the odds for a new car. I'll admit it my Corsa cost me £1300 two and a bit years ago bog standard and nothing seems as good value as that was at the time for age, condition, history, milage etc.
Knowing my luck I'll be stuck with it forever haha. My only other option is to set my sights lower and have a bit more of a "normal" less sporty, less powerful car... but I'll not be happy I know it.
Tempted just save my cash and have a Phase 1 Clio 172 for a couple of grand and just keep on saving for another year or so till I can afford something a lot newer.
