Thought I'd post this up on here just to show you the Dodo Juice stuff in action, and also because it's a pretty nice "average" car imo!

Was a difficult detail to do as I had to keep dodging the rain showers - luckily I had a nice double garage to work in to do the polishing stages!

The guy who owns it is very fussy over little details, but this was carried out over just 5 hours, so it was agreed I would work to restore the gloss of the paintwork, but not remove all the light scratches and swirls which it is in dire need of - so much so that when washed properly, the car was very grey and cloudy looking.

Befores:

The bit in the middle of the cup holders is a slide out bottle opener!

So with the first heavy shower already pouring down on me and the car, it was time to get cracking.

Wheels cleaned with AS Smart Wheels and various brushes, tyres and arches with AS G101.

Whole car was then foamed with AS Hazsafe:

Which removed a lot of the baked on crud.

Entire car was then washed via the 2bm, zymol sponge and Dodo Sour Power.

Rinsed off, dried for the first time, for it to then rain again!!!

Lower half of the entire car sprayed with AS Tardis as there was a lot of tar welded on to the paint, this was left to work it's magic, wiped off with old MF's and then the entire car clayed using BH soft clay panel by panel.

Entire car re rinsed, dried and then on to the interior.

Interior thoroughly hoovered, mat's cleaned with AS Brisk foam and a AG high tec interior pad, leather cleaned with AS leather cleaner, plastics wiped down with AS G101 and dressed with AS Pazaz.

By this time it was raining again So time to duck into the double garage, dry it off and get cracking with the polishing.

I chose to use a Dodo product I haven't used for a while - Need For Speed. This is similar to AG SRP but better!

Entire car was polished using this on a 3M polishing pad via the porter cable, before being followed up with 2 coats of Dodo Banana Armour wax (this is designed for warm colours, but I've been experimenting the "wrong wax" on the "wrong colour" recently - and found that Banana Armour works really well on all finishes imo!)

Glass was cleaned with AS Glass clear, tyres and trim dressed with AS Finish, Wheels polished with Dodo Need For Speed.

Finito!

Time to wheel it back out into the rain again

Time Taken - 5 hours.

Thanks for looking

Rich

Nice car, clean too!

Undecided on the wheels though, for some reason I'm imagining them in an 18" fitment on a baby blue 5 door Corsa

I quite like the wheels tbh - up close, they have a very good quality finish to them - similar to the ones found on TT's etc, and similar style of finish to M3 wheels with painted anthra insides etc.

Pretty sure they're not the standard wheels for these eitheer are they - a fairly pricey option?

Looks awesome job. Mines the same but in SE spec (slightly lower). Liking the alloys though, sure they aren't options.

Whats a 'porter cable' by the way?

Thanks for all the comments

A porter cable is a random orbital machine polisher imported from the US. Similar to Megs G220 etc

That detail cost £165.

Neil - You know where I am if you want me to give the Bora a session!
