on a 5 door 1.4 merit they are 4 speed

yea they do exist, my 1.2 8v was a 4 speed, this sport has been changed over tho, was wondering about changin it back

just replace my gbox + clutch in 3 hours, aslong as you get it inline theres no probs

if your doing the box yourself., and never done it before. it can take a couple of days doing it on your drive

in that case i probably wouldnt be then, if it will take as long, how much do you recon i should be paying to get it changed, and how much is a 1.4 box?

average box from a scrappy £40 - £50 pick one up on here or ebay might b cheaper

For a garage, could be expensive i do all my stuff so couldnt say.
Roughly on £40 h/rly ?

a 5 speed f13 about £30-£50
a clutch cos you might aswell while its there £40 for flat, and about £80 for pot type flywheel
a garage would charge about £100 to do it, depending on the garage and quality of work.
and abou £20 for gearbox oil

can get it done for £60 but im not sure if thats just fitting the box, obviously i will be supplying it, but not sure about oil etc
