Basically my car has been on the market for a long while, no had much interest to be honest. Lowered the price a bit recently and got a message from a guy who says, in short, my car is exactly what he is a after but he only has a maximum of £1900 but can collect on saturday. This is baring in mind I paid £2k for the car 2 years ago minus the 4 pots, lsd, braided hoses, quickshift, buckets, bilsteins, eibach springs, polybushes, solid engine mounts. All of which amounts to something in the thousands. Now I know I shouldnt expect it all back, and there is a recession on and the market has dropped recently, but it will be hard taking less than I originally paid. Do you think its fair because I am definately swaying towards it.

sounds like a fair price to me tbh.
i think rallyes have always commanded more than there worth, they seem to be dropping to a more realistic level now anyway

i didnt expect it to be a 106
thought it would be a corsa
if your advertising it for 2,200 then an offer of 1,900 is very realistic
see if you can haggle a bit but yeh go for it... at the end of the day is a 1994 car with over 100k on the clock

Annoying thing about selling the car, I was after 2k really, but I was never going to advertise it for the because people will expect to pay less but when people see a high price in an advert it immediately puts them off.

Tell him you were after £2k, the least he cn say is no or split the difference.
1900 is not a million miles away from 2200 anyway. Id deffo try & do a deal!!

i think you offered me a px for my corsa when i had it on ph but 106's arent my thing. have his 1900 off him and buy yourself a nice redtop corsa with change left over  .
