Well Im looking for a Corsa 1400 sport and really like anyone one don't want to be a mug and pay over the odds.

Been looking at 98-99 models on around fifty five thousand to sixty five thousand miles.

I have £1100, so what you would you reckonmend in terms of year and things like fsh I should be getting for the money.

Thanks

Shame the 1.6 16v is group 10 as there not much more expensive

I'd just wait for one to turn up, certainly wouldn't be paying over 1k for one.

John, I was thinking the same, £1600 for a 10 year old vauxhall when there is a resession going on seems a bit steep.
Want to see what these people got for there money.

Best places to look ?
Ebay seems a waste of time.
Autotrader.
Gumtree.
Piston heads.

Any other sites ?

Why annoying that I saw a few good ones before I had the cash.

Or dare say it any other decent cars worth looking at, cheap on insurce with a decent amount of power.

Depends on your location but there's a few on autotrader.

Have you got a quote for a 1.6, they look to be about the same price.

Haven't tryed a quote, just 1400 is group 6 and 1600 is 10.

I will try and see, only have 1yncb, worth a try I guess for the extra torque alone

yeah there is a white T plate 1400 sport on there 3 miles away on 63k, looks ok has an alarm which is important to me.

not a good one though

a y-reg corsa C is around 1800+ easily, just having a quick look, and doesnt normally have the low milage

at the end of the day, you'd expect to pay more for a good one....

sometimes people need the cash and sell cheap

you just have to have a good look at a few and might grab a bargin

It's not selling cheap, it's selling at what they're worth.

The guy you bought yours from either had as unrealistc views of what thet are worth or thought it was christmas.

Seems like a few people on the sites selling there corsa's think because they had to pay to get the car repaired that they can add the repair cost to the selling price of the caror that chavy mods are worth more then tax and mot's.

Quite a lot of like 95-96 corsa's on 100k+ and people asking for £800+

I wouldnt have minded Craig P's corsa, I saw the rear mark on the quater but I think its more important that it had 52k and a fsh.

I had a sri like yours Markus but it wasent as nice and the head gasket failed at 110k was perfect little car before hand tho so now I have this thing where I will not buy a car over a certain mileage if its a 96-97 plate I dont mind, just want something decent that will last

No they haven't.

if they are kept clean then i think if you shop around they are alot more expensive than you'd normally pay.
i paid £500 for my 1.4 16v sport on an s plate 2 years ago and sold it on for £900 and all i did was tidy it up

I did a quick quote on one of the compare type sites and the difference between the 1.4 and 1.6 was £70 a year.

Now Im even more lost

Seems to be quite a few more 1.6 sports out their.
