I've picked up my s2000 (I'll upload pics tommorrow, it's too dark) - but how do I move insurance to the new car?

I'm not insuring it with the same company my 106 gti is on, so effectively I need to cancel my 106 gti insurance and start a new policy with admiral, however... I need a car to commute in, so how do i do this?

If they were both on the same company, it'd be as easy as ringing up and asking to move it to a new car, but what happens with say proving no claims bonus etc on the new car?

What's to stop you essentially creating a new insurance policy with all your ncb and having 2 cars on seperate policies using those same ncb's?

Dont cancel your 106 policy untill you find s200 insurance and keep using it.

When you apply you are instantly insuired with your stated NCB, then you send off your certificate within 14days or whatevr otherwise they cancell it.

You need to send off proof of ncb which you'll not get unless you cancel your existing policy.

I think they will let you do it straight away, but require your ncb proof within a certain amount of time?

paul it will be fine mate, your not the only one who changes cars etc. Just ring up get s2000 insured they cover you instantly. Then a few days later they send you a letter with your cover note and ts&cs in it. They ask you to sign it, then send off ncb asap. When you cancel 106gti they will ask you to return documents which u should have back by the time u get the s2000 docs back.

Job done.
