A mate of mine had the 1.8 Zetec, i thought it was a bit bland to drive, not overly fast and prety thirsty.

I drove the 2.0 a few weeks back, as I was considering one. They are very boring to drive, brakes have no feel, throttle goes on forever, sit about 6ft in the air, etc,

My bro has a 1.6 focus (zetec) it's quite a nice car better interior and gadgets than my corsa but not as fast (even though my bro keeps telling me it does 65 in 2nd

) and doesn't handle as well.

Did anyone else find the biting point a tad to high on these?

Yeah check out Kano's in the Cars Offered section of Classifieds. I'd buy it right now if it wasn't an ST170. Much prefer my Audi derv though, munch the miles etc etc

independant rear suspension on focus' so a well set up corsa compared to a well set up focus would be a fair comparison

i did a quote last nite on the st170 and i was shocked, £1400 FC and im 20 yo

I think a st170 may be on the cards. You can pick a mint one up for about £3500
