often thought of this,would need to attach hinges like a 205 or similar i would think.

Get it done 
You could probably nick the hinges etc off a 106 or similar and fit them. Drilling glass isn't always pleasant, though.

would just need to drill the glass for the clip and hinges then sort out a rubber seal to go around the frame, can be done easily i would have thought.

Doubt you will be able to drill the glass as its toughened,it would have had to have been drilled before it was turned to toughened.

My manta didnt have the glass drilled, the clips were glued on, i know this as the fucker flew off when i was doing 80 down the motorway 
Luckily no one was behind.
