Today was an open day at Polished Bliss, for the north east region of the Porsche Club.
It was basically a chance for my brother and Rich to give a demonstration of what they do, why they do it, and to explain the long term benifits of it.
It lasted for about 3 hours, and i know it doesn't sound like it, but it was actually quite interesting.

They also raised £1000 for charity by auctioning off a full detail and that car was the demonstrator for today (the blue 997).

I spent most the day playing with a Nikon D300 as I was asked to be the photographer, so all the good photos I got are on another camera, and will probably get uploaded in the next few days.
I got a few pics with my own camera towards the end of the day. Unfortunately, it was just as everyone was leaving so theres a lot of cars i didn't get photos of, which was a shame as there were some nice ones.

Anyway, here the few pics i did get...

Yeah, it was for select members of the Porsche Club. Because of the size of the unit, they have to limit the numbers of people they have in there at one point. They have a few open days through the year an do one car club at a time.

Nice cars there

What I dont get at these type of events tho is why use a very nice newer car to demonstrate on as the painbt will still be in very good condition

Surely using a car with faded/scratched/old paint would make a good project

They were hoping they would have had more of a challenging car, but since the demonstrator was the winner of the auction, they had to do that particular one.
The car was far from perfect thought so it was a good example of how easily paintwork can be damaged even in just two years.

Here are a few more pics from Sunday.
They were all taken with a Nikon D300 and a fancy wide angle lens. I actually loved playing with it.
