Last pics I promise!!

Following on from my poor photos the other day of my new look van, I took the opportunity of the good weather and a free afternoon to clean the van up properly and get some protection on it.

I still need to get the wheels back off and hammerite the drums and calipers though - when it rains rusty water drips on the insides of my wheels atm Plus they look ugly atm

Quick run down of todays clean up, chance to try out a couple of Dodo Juices latest offerings too:

Washed with Dodo Sour Power
Dried with Dodo Time to Dry and Uber soft towels
Polished with Autosmart Mirror Image
Glazed with Poorboys Diamond White
Sealed with 2 coats of Jetseal 109
Trim with Black Wow
Glass with Autosmart Glass Clear and Rain X
Tyres with Autosmart Finish
Wheels with 1 coat of Poorboys Wheel Sealant and 1 coat of Jetseal.

Going to build up the layers of Jetseal over the next month so that I can then be lazy and clean the van just with the pressure washer and Bilt Hamber Autofoam VXRMarc put 52 coats of Zaino sealant on his Astra 'Burg, I'll settle for around 10 layers on the van

List of "mods":

K&N Panel Filter, De Restricted Airbox, "Vantuner" 75ps - ~95ps remap,
6K Hi / Lo HIDs,
LED Reverse Bulbs, Osram Diadem Blue Indicator Bulbs, Smoked Puma Side Repeaters,
Cat 1 Alarm / Immobiliser,
Focus 17" SportPack Alloys,
Debadged & De Rubstripped.

Also want to do:

Plain plates (ie. no GB)
Smoke headlights and possibly clear strip on rears,
Underseat Sub

The whole idea's just to tidy it up and make it look a bit different to the million and one Connects out there!!

Thanks for looking - no more posts of it now I promise!!

Thanks Kenzie - Yeh not a good advert to turn up with a filthy van - Therefore it tends to get a very quick clean off every couple of days, hence the need for decent protection to make the dirt fall off!

Bonney - Ah bugger Ah Well

richc - Thanks. No I don't offer those sort of extras though - Just looked up how far away your are, yeh tad too far (unless you want to pay travelling!)

Nice - Thanks mate I would love to stick a quick engine in it - Love the 2 that Geoff / Chorley Street garage have done, but I need to keep this fairly practical! [deano87 / pow] Since the remap, I now get average of 40 - 45 mpg depending on distance of journeys and roads travelled which is pretty handy atm! [/deano87 / pow]

James - If you ever fancy getting the C all shiney and swirl free again, let me know

Thanks mate

As said on my "to do" list, I'm going to smoke the headlights and possibly tint the rear clear strip - trouble is from the back, I want to keep visibility for me and for others pretty good due to the lack of rear windows etc - I may do though!

Front badge needs replacing ASAP as the lacquers had it, thought about a black & silver one, but doubt I can get one big enough for the Connect as it's a big old badge!!
