but seriously, i chat with a lad on msn I met through owners club, and he studies mechanical engineering in hartforshire i think..

one of his tutots used to work for ford designing parts to fail after waranty expires....

My unlce picked up his 09 plate zafira diesel on thursday,

It was back with vauxhall on thursday with major engine failure,

Valves met pistons, with only 4 miles on the clock

i wasnt joking at all.

you'd be amazed how many "other" brand cars also suffer problems with a new model almost right away.

That's intentional. They're not going to design stuff to fail during the warrenty period, they'd shell out a fortune on that. Plus I think that you've got the wrong end of the stick too.
