Is it 3 years or 4 years that they stay on?
Got done in April 2006 so coming up to 3 years next month?
Do I have to pay to have them removed? If so, what documents do I send off? (If any)

Do change of address (say to your mothers house) and the points will be wiped, Then change it back to you own address, It worked for me

Not every insurance company asks for 5 year points history. Some only ask for accidents/claims/points for the last 3 years.

I must have been asked that 100's of times in my life
Unfortunatley its all on computer as well, so even if it doesn't actually say you have points on your licence, they are still recoreded at DVLA
