Right gonna make a go at really spanking up the engine bay in my car, but theres a lot of residue built up from daily use ect.

What kinda of products can i use to get it looking nice??

Brighten up the plastics, hoses ect

gunk is a good de-greaser...

and just something like AG bumper care on the plastics..

Thanks lads just need something to really brighten it up again! will this "gunk" be ok to use on the hoses and will it make them look respectable, sorry for the utterly noobish questions just never had to do it!

it will de-grease them yes so will look cleaner and get the crap off..

but for the new look, get some back to black on them etc ie AG bumper car etc..

1. Auto Glym Engine & Machine Cleaner
2. Pressure Washer
3. Auto Glym INstant Tyre Dressing

Instructions:

Spray #1, leave for 2mins on a cold engine or work in with a brush. Rinse off with #2 and get into the nooks and crannys as much as you can. Leave the engine to dry and then apply #3, and leave it until you see the solution has soaked in.

I would spray any electrical connections with WD40 or 3-in-1 before you wash down to prevent any water getting in there, but i've done this method dozens of times, the results are superb.
