lol @ goonbag. He comes across as an idiot on TV, but then again so do most members of the public when thrust into the limelight

Did you not hear about the 20 PC officers who had to turn up when he went loopy and started throwing things out his flat window at them as well?

quote: Pimp My Ride's celebrity mechanic Jamie Shaw was sentenced to four months in jail for causing more than £6,000 damage during a drink and drugs-fuelled wrecking spree.
The 32-year-old star of the MTV show was "out of control" when he lobbed items including an ironing board from the balcony of his home at cars below during a row with his girlfriend, Colchester Magistrates Court heard.
Twenty-five police officers, 15 police community support officers and a police negotiator had to be called in to talk to him. The road in Colchester, Essex, was sealed off because it was too dangerous for passers-by.
Shaw is head mechanic at Carisma Automotive Design, home of the cult television show in which cars are gutted and given new interiors.
He has admitted four counts of criminal damage during the incident on September 7 last year.
The court heard how he got worked up during an argument and began chucking items through the window of his home, damaging six cars, including an Audi TT and an Audi A4.
Shaw had been battling depression and had recently visited the celebrity rehab clinic The Priory for treatment.
Tamzin Sharp, prosecutor, said: "Mr Shaw had taken a cocktail of drink and drugs and there was an altercation between him and his girlfriend.
"He became out of control and started to throw various items from the balcony of his home.
"He threw out an ironing board, a plant pot and others down into the car park area. There were members of the public present.
"One man had to abandon his vehicle and leave his car there. He had to be escorted from the area.
"The defendant threw various bottles through the window into the street below.
"He smashed one of the windows to his property.
"A police negotiator had to be called to talk Mr Shaw down." A battery from a drill thrown by Shaw narrowly missed one police officer at the scene, the court heard.
Mrs Sharp said Shaw spent an hour on the balcony of his home before being coaxed down and arrested.
In interviews, he admitted taking medication and said he suffered from "down days."
He had an argument with his girlfriend where he asked for help because he could feel himself "going down quicker than usual."
But he said he could remember nothing before waking up in a hospital in handcuffs with self harm marks.
Shaw, who has been clean of drugs for four months, was given a four-month sentence suspended for a year and told to undertake 12-month alcohol treatment programme.
He was ordered to pay £2,000 in compensation to the owners of the cars and £60 court costs.

Shows what fame does to you eh, drink and drugs!
You've all got to remember that the TVR is a promotional tool. Getting a gig with mtv for pimp my ride uk is a pretty big deal i'd imagine, and turned him into one of the most well known modding faces in the uk.

Never liked it; seriously ott and always thought that it was a waste of a good car and it was better before he done that to it.
But of course that is just my opinion.
I certainly would not pay that much for it.
