What would you have? No smart arse comments saying neither! I can pick both up with delivery miles for less than £1500 with my car as a part ex.
Peugeot is generally finished better than Citroen and it would be easier to shift my car onto a Peugeot dealer. However, our w reg Belingo at work just will not die.

Berlingo. Had one at work as a little company run about. Handled amazingly for a van! Jacko (boyracer2002) will tell you the same, he's had two of them

Are they effectively not the same van apart from the badge though? I'm just thinking a part ex will be easier at a Peugeot Dealer. It was a night mere trying to shift my old Corsa as dealers wouldn't touch it as it was another manufactured car and modified.
I've only driven the Belingo and as you say Jimmy, it's pretty ace to chuck about. We had a Ford Connect to on like 7k on an 07 plate but that was shit to drive. High back meant the wind caught it in the wind, had bad turbo lag and really looked crap.

they are exactly the same, honestly they are utter pish, they all tend to die and stuggle to get to 60 most of the ones ive had at my wrk have went like that and cant get past 60 (no they werent limited) i would recommend you buy something different, if you need to buy one of them, make sure you 1) get the biggest engine possible 2) get a diesel 3) test drive it and make a point of testing its acceleration and if it can get past 55/60 if it struggles or cant get past that speed dont buy it.

i would recommend a tdi vw van tbh, they go really well and are exellent on fuel even the older ones

Cost a lot more though. These are cheap and cheerful.
The one we had a work was old and not serviced. No idea what engine but was a diesel. As you say, this one would not pull going up a slightest on the M6. However, the one i'm looking at has the newer 1.6 HDI engine.
It's all just a thought right now tbh.

even the 1.6 hdi does the same mate, i personaly cant stand them, if you can afford a bigger engine than the 1.6 i would definatly go for that, better still go for a vauxhall

I'm happy with Peugeot tbh. We have 3 and all have been sound. Plus, as mentioned, the trade would be easier.
I've had Vauxhall in the past and were also great.

I'm not a fan of them Colin. We had one at work and was shite to drive compared to the Belingo. I know they got van of the year and that but my opinion is somewhat different.
I'm thinking of starting out on my own. I'm fed up of earning poor wages and working long hours while the big man takes all the profit. It's all in thought at the moment, just having a couple of weeks off and then i'll decide.

What will the van be used for IT work? Repairs, support etc?
Do you need such a "big" van if so? If not, what about a car derived van such as an MG, Fiesta, 206 etc etc etc

I think it's an all round good sized van. I could just use a car but when you have 10 PCs to take to site then i've got a small issue, especially if it's a few miles away.

So a car derived van would be more than adequate tbh! Better mpg, more car like and in general cheaper / better condition second hand too...

You can pick up delivery miles on the Belingo and Partner for 7k.
I will look around though! I've plenty of time on my hands at the minute I'd love to pick up a Corsa C van. Miss my Corsa so much!

If i had to pick between the two id have the peugeot.
But if it was me looking for a van of that size, i'd be going straight for the transit connect. Built a hell of a lot better, More reliable and has more load space in the back. Plus they are a lot easier to repair in the event of an accident or any small breakdown.

my old place had both of these and they were both sh!te, break down all the time, panther had big problems with electrics, and they are really slow, corsa van or clio van are good imo
