how long should it take for an insurance company to send your insurance certificate out? its been 8 days now and i still havent got mine

That's quite a while, usually about 5 days tops I think

i waited 3 weeks before i had to ring up and ask where it was. 2 days later it arrived.

My renewal letter says it may take up to 14 days, so i have a document to use as temporary proof in event of being pulled over etc.

Normally upto 14 working days, but after 5 i'd give them a ring.
And you should be on the MID within 7days.

Took mine out on Tuesday mid day & the certificate arrived Thursday!!
