I've had 2 insurance quotes on glanzas, one was £284 and one was £1420.

The one for £1420 was for a supra!?! and the £280 quote was for a corolla 1.3.

What should it be registered as on the insurance?

I've been told that glanzas aren't really on insurance databases. So when they're imported they're matched up the closes car possible....

My friend insured his as a 1997 Import Starlet. Say Glanza's and you may as well talk to a brick wall. They never seem to know.

I had this problem when trying
to insure a glanza. Flux gave me a quote of 1200 which seemed ok and they were the only company that knew what one was

If it's an import it has to be registered to what it is due to spec etc.

Id go for all the import specialists as their more likely to know.

I had this problem when insuring mine, most companies only have the sr's and sportifs on there system and some the GT Turbo, the only decent quote I got was of Quinn direct have you tried them?

And with most companies, when you say no its a Glanza they just dont have a clue.

Thinking about it, this may be why every numberplate is either off or rubbed out on pistonheads / eBay / autotrader etc

Just spoke to Quinn, they said £900, all mods declared. Happy with that
