Someone broke into my mk4 last night,

took the lock barrell out, went through the glove compartment, then popped the back seat forward to see whats in the boot,

nothing stolen though, because there was nothing in the car to nick!

still, im quite glad no windows were smashed, doors bent etc etc,

[rant] why do little shites have to damage and rob what someone else has had to work hard for? i think we should get like saudi arabia and chop their hands off, wouldnt be doing that again! [/rant]

wankers.

they do it because its so easy to get away with.

last weekend my dad had his motocross bike stolen, the police have phoned to say they have closed the investigation; when no investigating has been done

pc plod is probably too busy doing someone for doing 32 in a 30 though to be fair.

Common problem on the Mk4's with the lock barrell being removed mate, you should delock it asap.

Make sure he asks for a CRIME number.. not an INCIDENT number that really PISSES them off because normally they dont actually log it as a criminal offence.. it then becomes an unsolved crime and makes their stats look bad which makes them actually give a shit..

blimey didnt know that, you got any idea how much this costs?

obviously i dont have a lock barrel now lol, so im halfway there, it still locks though, dunno why the alarm didnt go off though

it is far to common and easy for cowards to nick this,

also if they still have the barrell, can they gain entry by copying the key?

its a fact of life. police work on numbers, and its obviously easier to pull someone for having illegal number plates than it is to arrest a machete yeilding nutter.

Did you call them after this happened or during... Because I highly doubt they would leave it 6 hours if you was fearing for your life.

suppose the police has nothing to go on to find the bike, motocross bikes that are the same model are all the same, the only way of knowing is the frame or engine number which people don't usually have on them.
