I don't understand why?
What reason would the insurer think ...
'hmm, I'd prefer it if he went Fully Comp rather than TPFT... that way we're taking on higher risk, for less money '

I've never found there to be a difference of more than a few quid between FC and TPFT. That was when I had the Corsa.
Obviously wouldn't have my current car as TPFT

For the last few years there has only ever been about a £20 saving to go TPFT.
I always just go fully comp, less hassle.

Same.
When I insured my Corsa it was more expensive to go TPFT. Crazy but works in my favour.

My insurance for the focus is 385 tpft or 410 fully comp, difference being fully comp has a lot of excesses and tpft is £0...

Just got a price for FC using the exact same details - £370.05
So I saved £130odd by going TPFT.

I always go full comp even though I drive around a shitter, just thought it would be less hassle if I do crash.

It is much less hassle, with a car worth a few k I would rather spend an extra £130 and know if anything happens I'm covered.

I get my kicks from living dangerously & saving money
tbh if I smash a £3k car & get feck all pay out then its not the end of the world.
Its just risk Vs cost & im happy to take a risk.

Think how much money you'd save if you'd paid the extra £130 for FC if the worst happens and you have an accident

If.......maybe........then etc
Ive got a lot of bills to pay, house, car & general living ones. Anything thats not a huge benefit/interest gets the minimum spent on it. If the cars not worth alot (£3k's not a huge amount) then I dont see the point in paying out more than I need to.

Fair enough, I don't have all that to pay for so £130 is nothing. But then mine was cheaper to go FC than TPFT so it didn't take long to consider whether to take FC or not
