Ok i am taking my car off the road at the end of this month, the current engine which is in it is crap. has more than enough troubles with it so thats coming out and im debating what to put in it. because i know how people say might aswel be a 2.0 because of the power but im never going to be anywhere that i can do 150mph. i prefere bottom end speed and i need a car which will be good on fuel as i will be using this as a day to day car when its finished.
Also if i did go for the 2.0 when ordering parts for it e.g cams exhaust manifolds etc is there a site which does these just for 2.0 in corsas or do i have the search the original car that the engine came out of?

If you're tuning a 2.0 you just look for bits for that engine.
2.0 is quicker and more economical than a 1.6. From my past experiance anyway

As fro said.
Alot of XE owners say they get better MPG in the 20XE than they did in their 16XE's.

20xe/c20xe 2.0 from around the same period mate. Shouldn't think model of car would matter

Correct. Or any cars which use the same engine/engine number. And as Fro said, 2.0's can be more economical than the 1.6. The fact that it's not working as hard gives it an advantage.

I was paying 1174 tpft at 19 with 2 years ncb. But insurance can vary quite a bit so your best bet would be to ring up companies for quotes.
