Why would you have the quarter replaced?
More likely to look worse due to having to have a welded join in the C pillar.
Any good body shop would pull that out and fill it, would look much better than fucking about replacing the panel joins etc..

Hope you get it sorted thou mate, nice GSi you had there.

Don't be to beat up about it. My car was a state and is absolutely fine now. Different calibre of car I know, but still.

Its just a little bit of damage.. Its not like someone has just written off your Ferrari

Personally I'd have it fixed without replacing the quarter, chances are if they replace the quarter it will rot like a good-un due to the untreated welds..

Seriously mate sooo much better to deal direct with the 3rd party's insurer (as the car is still drivable)..

Once she has admited liability they will take care of everything and you wont lose a penny in excess!

You ask your insurer for their details simple as.. They can get all of the info from the MID with the 3rd partys registration..

I always do this, saves time and money in the long run

You can have them take away your car and deal with the repairs or you can have a contract repair done where they give you a cheque to get the car fixed, they actually prefer doing this and you can work it out so you get a little bit of money to 'reimburse you for the invonvienience".

I have the girls Insurance details

COntact number and her egistration

Am I better giving them a call?

Because I have had my insurers bodyshop on the phone and I have to use them ( and I've heard bad reports ) unless I go to her insurers
