Seems to be a mechanical system.
There are two systems that are planned to be used.
Electrical, where the energy is converted by a motor-generator into electrical energy and stored in a battery, then released when necessary.
Mechanical, where braking energy is used to turn a small flywheel, which is then connected into the drivetrain when required.

JR, 2 people and 1 team doesn't make a great season. Walker got his ass handed to him in WSB. I've never reall thought he was great tbh.
it was just an example
close racing, alot of young riders with a point to prove, alot of old riders with a point to prove, alot of similar machinary, big'ish grid
its not going to be boring........

One of my all time favorite riders
Brands WSB as a wildcard
Donny WSB as a wildcard when him and hodgson rode so on the limit it scared haga
The whole of the 96-2000 BSB period
yes it was a while ago, but still one of my favorites

Yeah, but Hagas still winnning WSB races, and walkers come back to BSB as its the only chance he's got of getting more silverware
Sorry, just never found him anything special compared to other riders.
Still, the rest of it should be good. I think WSB is the one to watch this year though.

Yeah, that's what they're using now I believe... (if they continue with it).
It was a electrical system, charged on braking and delivered through a electric motor... but in crash tests it caught alight big style.
Now I believe its a mechanical system more like a wind up toy. So maybe they'll all end up adapting that one instead.

Yeh the first one is getting shit canned...
My dad's mate's business had a contract with some of the F1 teams for the electrical style one, but the contract has now been cancelled due to safety issues with that whole system.
Think if it is adopted they'll all go for the 2nd mechanical one. However, the gist I got was it was being a bit of a pain in the arse overall for everyone to develop it, wouldn't give the desired results and generally fucked up the cars other development / balance - therefore was possibly going to be canned altogether.

A lot to do with the rides rather than the riders, even if you are in the same even team mates aren't even on a good a set up as each other. Look at Jr's example of wildcard rides, can't argue with them. Can't argue that Hodgson's ducati was awesome a lot better that the suzuki Chris was on but he pushed him all the way. Also can't argue at the epic battles with Mckenzie late 90's.
Definatly got potential to be a good season.

What about le mans? Looking forward to Aston in LMP1. They are tighter on the rules with diesels this year to hopefully make it closer.

I loved the fact someone on vastly unsuprior bike could come whitin one race of the championship just by riding the bollocks out of it

Wildcards have the advantage of knowing the track inside out.
Hodgeson isn't someone I particulary rate either. Stuffed silly in AMA.
Whilst I agree there was some good home bound racing, i've just never rated them amoungst great British riders.
Thats not to say he can't ride of course.

My Dad's into Moto GP and BSB/WSB and Chris walker is his all time favourite rider. He's never on the best machinery, always an underdog, but always rides the ass off whatever bike he's on!

I'm gettting sick of reading about the BBC vs Eurosport commentary debate.
Fair enough, I'd sooner have Moody/Ryder/Mamola but it's not worth spitting your dummy out over like loads of people have, the racing will still be the same bikes with the same riders
