How do you get rid of all the silicone shit used on bumpers and trims etc so you can paint them without bastard fish eye occuring

i use a degreaser called AF Spray from RS Componenets (one we use at work alot) as the panel wipe solution we have seems to be contaminated and cause no end of problems on painted parts (unless our piant is up the shoot??)

its usually out of stock there. if i'm stuck i nip along to the local pet shop they usually have it behind the counter.
