on a 1.6 16v ive heard people say they loose power on cone filter rather than deristricted air box and replacement filter element? anyone tried it before?

my corsa had a cone filter when i bought it and it had flat spots through out the rev range so i am putting a derestricted air box on

same, big improvement when using K&N panel in derestricted air box

take those two pipes out, (use a hammer and they justy slide out) then drill holes like mine

Dont thinkso mate make them about size of a 5p at a rough guess, ur choice really think its just to let more air in.

smaller holes make it raspy, bigger holes make it deeper, the noise that is, mine sounds nice, and that was a 10mm drill bit

cold air feeds are fastly over rated on a std engine by the internet i reckon.

IMO paper filters are as good as K&N panel filters, no difference whatsoever on mine, just a deeper roar with the paper filter

I'm not so sure on those aftermarket panel filters, they let in more air but is that at the cost of less filtration?

I have never botherd with one either. I cant justify 3 quid for a normal one or £30 for a knN
