how a manifold affects performance is different between designs, some will do sweet f/a some will give better torque with a sacrifice at top end, some will give high end power sacrificing low down torque

i gained 13bhp at the top end but lost a fair amount of torque when i had a custom exhaust and manifold made for my xe on t/b's

ppc did a manifold guide at some point..

SBD manifolds are great.

TypeA if you're watching the pennies (c.£300 delivered)
TypeC if you've got money to throw about and Tbs etc (£600+)

i had a 4-2-1 to start with on my valver, i paid a 100quid for an origional 4-1 off the mk2 astra gte,i couldnt beleive the top end power i gained from it, it really did rip me back into the seat from 5k revs all the way round, i highly rfecomend them but there isnt hardly any genuine mk2 ones about anymore hence the price i paid for mine, as where on the first link the 4pipes go halfway down the down pipe but on mine it has the 4pipes all the way through to where the middle section would supposed to fit, il try and get a pic for you asap
