Purchased this a few weeks ago, got it home 2 weeks ago and started stripping it.

Few folk have said repair it, but tbh Id rather strip it and sell it in bits. Plus the drivers side is fudged big time.

Engine wouldnt start, found the fuel cut off switch, reset it and fired up no problem.

Debating whether to sell the engine or look out for a cheap CTR with blown engine

Very low 3 figure some of money....

Knew the guy who crashed it, his insurance was void and he was wanting rid of it. Recovery firm were chargin him for keeping it there, and told him he had to organise and pay to get it scrapped. I stepped in and made him an offer

He only owned it 2 weeks, bought it from his brother who I also knew

I had a play with it on a track in my VTS, couldnt pass me until 130

Couldnt belieive it when he accepted it

Had to convince my dad it was a good idea as I would be keeping it at the farm and he doesnt like me having bits of cars and whole cars lying about He soon came round though. The guy paid 6k for it 2 weeks before he crashed it

i wouldnt bother repairing that when you think how cheaply pre facelifts go for these days unless you know somebody who works/owns a bodyshop who can get it repaired at a mates rate for you.

just browsed the ctr owners club site and stripping a ctr and selling a working engine should bring in a fair bit of cash.

i would also be tempted to keep the engine buy a cheap ctr like you say and while the engine is out buy a few goodies and try and get it to around 240bhp and maybe strip the interior. should give you a very fast type r
