right i have been searching through scn forums etc

dont really want to spend ££££s... but was thinking of ko3s then thought well for a bit extra surely its better to go for a k04 and just get a leon r set up?

plan would be to get to as near as 300 as i can. if you could be so kind to help me on my way.....

No he went bigger than K04.

k03s will only flow around 220/230 tops, but you'd be maxing it out so reliability may become an issue.

Will - ko4 will only get you to 260/270 i think. For what its worth and all the modification you'd need to do i'd go big turbo if you can afford it that way you won't have to run silly boost to get near the figure you want.

for k04 though you will need bigger injectors and also different con rods as the Ko3 engines are not the same spec as the K04 engines

People look at peak power and boost - what you need is consistent boost and not spikes

A lad I know as had a hybrid on his TT and produces 293 BHP but hold boost consistently and goes alot better than the 293 figure would suggest

there is also a K05 that is on engines like the 2.7 T and such i think, this would get you 300BHP easily with the correct engine mods to go with it like have already been said; injectors pistons etc etc google edition 38 forums and go on their website. There are a lot of very knowledgable people on there.

my mate on his 1.8 20v turbo golf is running 300bhp+ on garret gt28rs with atp manifold the kits around 3k tho i think..

the KO5 is a hybrid version of the KO4. the 2.7 uses a Bi KO3S or Bi KO4 depending if its from the S4 or RS4.

Just K04 it FFS

Don't bother with a k03s my K03s on custom jabbasport map made 247bhp with all the trimmings and used eat my mates Revo stage 2 cupra...

You can get a k04 turbo kit for around £400 off Edition38...Which would include 225lcr Injectors,3'' maf,k04-023,S3/lcr Downpipe which u just mod to match up urs

As for oil and Coolant line...Alex(brakdraft) can make you some up and even possible make you up a Downpipe as Hooch is making a jig for one to sell as k04 kits for the cupra..

Yeah i went 1 size bigger than a k04 and went gt2x(Gt25) and It eats most things..

270bhp k04 ibiza isnt going to be shy and the Kick on Boost is unreall!!!

You'd be looking at around £800 tops including map to have it done...
Unless u dont have the usal FMIC Ect

Plus if u your on the hunt for more power and Less £££ hybrid a K03 for £595 all in..
Or hybrid the k04 for 300bhp...

My Gt2x is around 290bhp & 305ft-lb and goes really well..If you not looking for the hassle just go for a k03 hybrid matches up to your exsting downpipe and oil & coolant lines..

All you'd need would be

4bar,LCR/s3/TT injectors,3'' maf,Either S3/LCR tip or like me a 2.5 ATP one,Rated Air filter,

Then a map around £400 and could see aroud Min or 270bhp from a k03/s hybrid

But the punch from a k04 is better for Mid/top end...

thanks danny, great bit of info there. yeh say if i was wanting 270-280... im getting my forge fmic and miltec cat back next week hopefully. so minus that not much more is actually needed then? so you reckon it will only be about another 1k for the rest? thought it would be more for ko4 set up. id be very happy with that tho. ill have to contact edition38 then have you got the website... cheers

Why not hybrid you K03 then u have to mod fuck all then...and ul have 270bhp then

hybrid ko3 so ko4 internals? would still need inj, maf etc tho? really still need to look into things alot. whats the best company for the ihi i remember reading a few companys do a swap basis?

awesome sounds like next 2 months plans again thanks for your time, also you have the 2.7 (or what ever size it is, decat dp? did you have to mod this atal as i hear you have to?

knocks abit but its livable
